Tasting Notes:
The 2012 vintage was warmer in Niagara, but this seems to have nicely held onto its acidity. It is 100% chardonnay from estate vineyards in the Short Hills Bench appellation. It was aged five years in bottle. Expect a ripe nose of fresh apple, gentle brioche/custard, lemon and vague almond nuttiness. It is mid-weight and nicely firm with excellent length. Quite lemony and mineral on the finish. It has a Champagne-like vinosity. Very classy. Tasted June 2017. Score - 91. (David Lawrason, winealign.com, June 28, 2017)
